Day 4 - On the Move

So yes I admit! I skipped a day but its because I had a picture in mind but its been too cold to do it. So since we went to the Auckland Zoo I thought it would be a good opportunity to try and capture animals on the move.
Here are a few I liked the most. Birds always make good moving pictures and unfortunately you can see the cage in the background of my favourite second picture.
I played around on photoshop because I felt the background took away from the colours of the parrot and made the photo too busy....

This was my favourite shot as it was the least blurred and you can see the definition of the parrot the best however there is the problem of the cage in the background so I slightly blurred the edges to make the image a little softer.

just because I love watching sea lions...so relaxing

Day 2 Pasion

Alright so I thought for this day maybe the usual kiss kiss stuff but no one wants to see that! So being the last soccer match "the big final" of the season this would be perfect! My husband is passionate about soccer (his second wife) and so I took up the challenge! Unfortunatly I don't have a massive lens of the super quick shutter speeds to capture the second to second motions on the field so I got my husband to kick the ball around in the backyard while I clicked away. I chose the fastest shutter speed and played around with sports mode.

Here's a few of my favourite....

 can you see his passion?

I love this one!

Day 1-Bright

OK so here we go again! Christmas is coming and the photo course I wanted to do kept getting postponed as not enough enrolees!

I haven't picked up the camera in a while so bit rusty. Today's challenge is "Bright".
The idea that came to mind was my toddler holding a torch under the covers but her new concept at the moment is 'scary' so she didn't go through with it. I tried my phone but not very good so then I decided to hazard a fire risk and put the lamp under the sheets. The photos pointed directly to it were boring so I tried a longer shutter speed and panning with the camera. I thought the outcome was quite cool after a few trial shots!!

Positive constructive feedback welcome!
